3. LP – Run and Rebalancing

Estimated reading: 1 minute 34 views

Q) What does the ‘Run’ button do?
A) After adding a position using the pool address on MAPMS, clicking ‘Run’ starts the automation process, allowing MAPMS to manage your LPs efficiently.

Q) Does the strategy created in MAPMS run on the same pool I added?
A) Yes

Q) How does rebalancing work?
A) The software continuously monitors the pool, and if the LP goes out of range, MAPMS automatically creates a new position with a 50-50 split between the token and SOL sides to maintain optimal yield.

Q) Why was a new position created with only one side liquidity during rebalancing?
A) When the LP position goes out of range on the lower side, and there is no liquidity available to swap tokens into SOL, the new position will be created with only token-side liquidity instead of a balanced 50-50.

Similarly, when the LP position goes out of range on the upper side, and there is no liquidity available to swap SOL into tokens, the new position will be created with only SOL-side liquidity, rather than maintaining a 50-50 pool.
